The rubber would work just as well, I got a couple of those, although they weren't big enough for the robin, very similar in texture. I haven't read the book yet? I started it but didn't get too far, it seemed quite good? You are a talented lady! :))))) I'm also delighted to see you playing with stamps! I've tried making a few ~ much fun, though harder than it seems like it should be, it's not quite like drawing with a pencil! ha ha !! Love your little robin, you got nice smooth even lines, nicely done! I have the same cutter tool, I also got a slab of rubber instead of lino. ~
There is something very satisfying about collecting your supplies and letting some anticipation build...
Great stuff!! I'm going to go check out your book now too... very curious. :))))Melodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10229439546427952540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5058558317517730439.post-29837978878951730762011-10-23T07:23:26.526-07:002011-10-23T07:23:26.526-07:00Hello Bella and Julia, thank-you for your comments...Hello Bella and Julia, thank-you for your comments. I got the pink stuff from a website called Rainbow Silks, they are in Great Missenden, Bucks, they have lots of craft materials. It was nice putting everything together anticipating starting work, just hope I make a good job of it now! I'm looking forward to other ideas brewing, next. Your card design at the top is lovely too, the eyecatching red post box really stands out against the sketch work, it's a great composition and would be the perfect Christmas card.
Love your robin stamp too, very inspiring!

Love Julia x x xJuliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13492504774523043887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5058558317517730439.post-87347643248711199782011-10-23T02:02:09.871-07:002011-10-23T02:02:09.871-07:00This is great. I was given lino though which is quite tough and my fingers end up cut to ribbons - like Edward Scissorhands. Where do you find the soft pink stuff?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15750612346248811323noreply@blogger.com
